SnapSum (AI Youtube Summarizer)

Background

SnapSum is a concept SaaS product designed to help busy professionals stay updated with long form video content without spending hours watching it. The idea focuses on turning newly published YouTube videos into concise, AI generated summaries and delivering them directly via WhatsApp, a platform users already check daily. The project explores how AI, messaging platforms, and content curation can reduce information overload while keeping users informed in near real time.

Result & Takeaways

• Built a clear end to end product concept combining AI summarization, WhatsApp delivery, and a web dashboard.

• Learned how push based content (WhatsApp notifications) can increase engagement compared to pull based dashboards alone.

• Identified the importance of separating quick consumption (WhatsApp) and deep exploration (dashboard).

1. Problem Identification: Identified how busy professionals struggle to keep up with long form video content due to time constraints.

   
   

2. Ideation & Concept Definition : Explored multiple ideas and defined SnapSum as an AI powered solution that delivers short video summaries through WhatsApp.

   

   
   

3. User Flow & Feature Design : Designed end to end flows for users, WhatsApp bot interactions, and admin operations, focusing on fast consumption and clear separation of roles.

   

   
   

4. Wireframing : Created low fidelity wireframes in Figma to establish layout structure, content hierarchy, and navigation.

   

5. Visual Design : Translated wireframes into high fidelity designs with a playful yet professional visual style aligned with the SnapSum brand.

   

   
   

🔜 Evaluation

This project demonstrates my ability to think beyond interface design and approach a product holistically, from user needs and system flow to admin operations and scalability. SnapSum highlights my interest in building AI powered, time saving tools for professionals and shows how thoughtful UX decisions can bridge multiple platforms into one cohesive experience.
